Puerto/Mex Latino Monthly Unity Dance PartyThe rhythmic beats of Regional Mexican music provide a lively backdrop, infusing the venue with the spirited melodies of mariachi and banda tunes. The dance floor will echo with the infectious energy of corridos tumbados, a genre that seamlessly blended traditional Mexican corridos with contemporary urban sounds, captivating partygoers with its unique and dynamic vibe.
The pulsating rhythms and infectious hooks of reggaeton music will have everyone on their feet, dancing and reveling in the electrifying ambiance. Latin trap will add another layer of intensity to the party, with its fusion of hip-hop and Latin influences, creating an atmosphere where the boundaries between genres blurred, and the diverse crowd came together in a celebration of unity and cultural richness.

Simone's partners up with Kombi to bring you something truly special. First Fridays at Simone's will now be devoted to live music!

Los Vicios de Papá drops immigrant beat with a passion for reggae, ska and cumbia. Our lyrics stem from our struggling &undocumented youth experience. LVDP was born out of a crumbling public education system and failing immigration policy in Chicago's Back of the Yards hood.

Vivian Garcia is a Chicago based singer-songwriter. Her musical journey has taken her from studying rumba flamenca rhythms in Granada, Spain to jamming with international folk musicians in Madrid as well as singing with various bands in Chicago.

Sandra Treviño is an arts journalist, radio host, and DJ based in Chicago. She is the founder of Enchúfate, co-founder of the Latino Writers Initiative, and forms part of Future Rootz and The Ponderers. Tune in to her live broadcasts every second and fourth Monday and Friday on Lumpen Radio (WLPN-LP 105.5FM).
